Important Notice Regarding
Electronic Deposits & Withdrawals”

Currently, all banks and credit unions (including AFCU) must receive and process 3 separate electronic transaction files from the National Automated Clearing House Association (NACHA) at specific times throughout the day.

Effective 3/19/21, an additional transaction file must be received and processed. Due to the timing of this new transaction file, Amherst Federal Credit Union will no longer be able to continue our usual courtesy of “flipping the day” to the next business day at the end of office hours.

Therefore, electronic deposits and withdrawals (including payroll) can no longer be processed to your accounts early. For example, if your payroll date is on a Friday, you will no longer receive it on the Thursday before. You will receive your deposit and all other electronic transactions in and out on the actual processing date.

We apologize for any inconvenience. Please keep in mind that this change is not being instituted by the Amherst Federal Credit Union, it is a federal regulation we are required to follow. Please adjust your record keeping accordingly.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the credit union.
